E-Verify Information
E-Verify is an online system that allows FIC to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires in seconds. The E-Verify system is operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA). E-Verify use is restricted to employers. E-Verify works by electronically comparing the information on an employee’s Form I-9 with SSA and DHS records to verify the identity and employment eligibility of each newly hired employee. E-Verify helps maintain a legal workforce by reducing the amount of unauthorized employment and minimizes verification-related discrimination.
You may click here to access more information about E-Verify.
You may contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at 1-866-347-2423 or visit their website at www.ice.gov for more information about illegal immigration activities. You may also contact the USCIS Call Center at 1-800-375-5283 to get help and information regarding immigration services and benefits and laws. Service is available by telephone in English and Spanish.
If you are outside the United States and need more information concerning United States immigration, please contact the closest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
